New Chi Ionic Ion Detox Foot Bath Aqua Spa Cleanse Machine is a professional detoxification system which helps with total body purification. Ions are molecules that in most cases carry either a positive or negative charge. When the machine is turned on ions are created in the water. When the unit is set to positive, the current is directed to the positive pole, which produces more negative ions in the water inducing a positive polarity that generates a negative ion flow which raises blood pH from acidic toward alkaline in scientific studies.

I first learned of ion cleansing from my Doctor. Before having an ion cleanse session he took me through a process of detoxification using herbs, some accupuncture, and modifications to my diet. This behind me, I proceeded with four or five ion cleanse sessions over a period of roughly 2 years. In line with a desire to improve overall health and wellness, I decided to include periodic ion cleanses to my regime. A friend suggested the ION CELL SPA, Chi Ionic Detox Foot Bath Aqua Spa Cleanse Machine. I read mixed reviews regarding ion cleanse machines in general and went ahead and purchased it. Megawholesalers shipped my Ion Cleanse the day after I ordered it(faster than expected). The new machine arrived in perfect working order. I used it and noticed results right away with the first 30 minute session. Then I thought, if once a week is good, then three days in a row should be great. Right? WRONG! Made me wonder about people on the internet writing that Ion Cleanse machines do nothing. If it does nothing, then how could overuse cause a reaction? Well, the next day I was fine. A month later, I was with two scientists and two nutritionists. I brought up the Ion Cleanse. They raved about it. I asked why overuse caused a reaction. In short, they had explained it is healthy to use, but overuse depleats the body of necessary ions. So, I was to enjoy it, but not daily. I am glad I purchased mine and plan to use it 2x a week for a few months, then once a month, changing the electrodes after 20-25 sessions. I was pleasantly surprised with this whole experience.

Hi I actually haven't used this ... I want to buy one but I'm confused. This one doesn't show a bath, it looks like a complicated machine. I'm not sure if I should get this one, which seems to have a lot of positive reviews, or one of the simple plastic tubs where you just add salt. Can someone please tell me which is superior and if this one comes with a bath and if it is hard to use? Are there any pros that this one has over the simple tubs???? Thanks!

The product was used (not new) and never worked. I returned it and seller promised to refund shipping. He never refunded anything. Buyer beware, you are not dealing with an honest seller and THE PRODUCT IS WORTHLESS.

The foot bath looks great in its case and everything looks OK. It seems to me that visual instructions (diagram) and better written verbal instructions are needed. After reading the enclosed pamphlet more than once, I still was not quite certain if I was properly using the machine. I have used it on it default setting and not sure how to switch to the negative charge. There is no explanation of why you would need to switch to a negative charge. I had someone more versed in science tell me that the negative charge is the one that pulls the heavy metals. I assume they were correct.

I've been having A LOT of joint pain & body aches since July. I started using a friends detox machine b/c I couldn't afford to go back to my massage therapist for it. I've always had good results, from helping not be as allergic to poison ivy to not taking sinus medicine every other day. This time it's so I can get out of bed b/c the pain is so bad. I'd go to her house with horrible body aches & leave with most of it gone. I only had time to go once a week but it was a life saver. I told my husbands papaw about it last month & they bought one of these. They were so thrilled to be able to bend over & put their own shoes on instead of helping each other every morning that they bought us one! They have a friend that used theirs, she couldn't walk & now that she's been detoxing she can walk up to a half mile at a time. The directions are the only complaint. I plug in the array (that goes in the water), arm band (in back R hole) & sometimes the waist band (back L hole), turn it on (in back), push ENT & add a little salt till the place that says E= reads between 1.5 & 2.4, the arm band starts stinging a little after a while so I move it up & down my arm during the 30 min. My husband jokes it's all in his head, but he didn't have any pain medicine for his back this wkend & he said his knees didn't hurt when he got out of bed. He did it three days in a row which is the max but it's down wonders for him too. They might say it's all in your head but if you use it not believing it will work, & it does work... :) Besides feeling better everyone uses the water from the same tap & the colors in the water are different, mine came out orange w/black flecks, my husbands is DARK red & black, & my daughters was a little red. When I used my friends the colors I would get varied from week to week depending on what it was working on. That's to answer the skeptics who say the colors are just from a reaction to the minerals/chemicals in the water. If that were so it would be the same for everyone if it's coming out the the same tap in the same afternoon.
